Tips for Cleaning Pollen This Summer

Now that the school year has ended, home school is over and summer is finally here. There is no better way to prepare for a fun-filled summer than to have a clean home.

There are some aspects of summer that can make cleaning tedious. One of those things is pollen. If you let pollen accumulate it can be extremely difficult to clean. The pollen that sticks to your windows attracts dust and grime making your home appear dirty. Here are a few tips for cleaning pollen this summer that is way easier than homeschooling your kids!

  1. Make sure to use the right tools. Basic tools are necessary, but be sure to include tools such as squeegee to clean the windows.

  2. Use ammonia as a cleaning solution. Mix three parts water to one-part ammonia to create a homemade window cleaner.

  3. Try and clean on a schedule. Pollen is easiest to clean before it has sat on the window. Making time at least once a week to clean the window will help keep the windows cleaner.

  4. Don’t neglect the inside of the windows. Make sure to clean the insides as much as the outside, especially if you open the windows frequently.

Cleaning your windows of pollen is important. Use our tips to make sure that your windows and screens stay in good condition for seasons to come.
